Today even a small government post(job) needs preliminary exam to hire personnel. Then why not a person who commands these government employees doesn't need to give some type of test to prove that their decision are good enough.
its not the new question I'm asking from our democratic government, I'm just suggesting some ways for this.
From where I get this idea ?
Have you ever apply for a private firm/company (like bank employees), then I think you know what I'm talking about, well before starting interviews company arrange some sort of assessment/questionnaire test in which the respondent have to answer some (30) question which are more sort of situation based to judge how candidate will respond/react to them. There is no pass or fail in this test, they are just surveying, and all candidates have to give compulsory
Well same can be done for the candidates who are standing in election for MLA/MP in India.
Why I get this Idea?
In Last election of MPs in my state, there was one candidate from my constituency who was standing from the side of one of the major parties in India, before election no one have ever listen his name in any activity and at the time of campaigning I just have a glimpse of his face. Now think in the meet of less than 30 seconds and from framed speeches that I've watched on TV how I can vote for this candidate. In addition he was not educated enough too, which rises my doubt over his decision making skills. I know to become a leader/politician you don't need a good educational background that's why I'M NOT ASKING FOR SOME SORT OF EXAM. And education can't be a factor for this.
What I'm suggesting
Every candidate and representative should be asked to fill out this questionnaire which will be designed to provide the people (AAM JANTA) with a better understanding of the person's view and a better feel for how the candidate or representative will respond to future issues. The candidates can answer the questions in an email or using their social media too. The responses to this questionnaire are shown publicly. The candidate can answer as many or as few of the questions as they desire.
